EDIT: Read my FAQ journal about the Starseeker here: [link]

READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE COMMENTING!

The finished results of the bow/blade. A lot of time was spend on this weapon and I had a lot of help during the process.
Mostly, I got help from my boyfriend, father-in-law and my own father.

In sword form, the blades are kept together with a small magnet. Small, but very strong.
The strings for the bow form are (of course) detachable and are hold into the blades with little hooks made of paperclips. (there are small holes in the blades for the hooks)
The weapon itself isn't that heavy and is fairly easy to wield.

It's made out of MDF wood, thin but strong card-board, foam, pvc pipe, wonderflex and more stuff to keep it all together (of which I don't know all the words for xD)

The little extra we added, was the slide-able silver/pink handheld. We made it slide-able like you see in the game when shooting an arrow. More realistic, right? :P

Luckily, it was finished right before Animagic so I was able to show it off a little. Hehe XD

Also a big credit to *Laitz for sending us the illustrator file of the Starseeker blue-prints! Without it, we'd be lost.

Also see the WIP picture so you can clearly see of what it's made of: [link]
